5 Classic Ceremony Songs That Aren’t “Here Comes the Bride”

Some people know the exact song they want to walk down the aisle to from the moment they get engaged. Others find the process challenging. As wedding musicians, we’ve played couples down the aisle to any and every song you can think of. Here are a few of our favorites:

1.

Moon River / Breakfast At Tiffany’s

Written specifically for Audrey Hepburn, this academy and grammy award winning song effortlessly pulls at your heartstrings. A simple, sweet, and nostalgic ode to love, Moon River is an all-time favorite.

2.

Your Song / Sir Elton John

You can’t go wrong with a timeless classic. Elton John wrote this track in 20 minutes when he was 22 years old. Earnest and poetic, “Your Song” has held up as one of the most romantic love songs ever created.

3.

Isn’t She Lovely / Stevie Wonder

If you’re looking for something a little more upbeat, Isn’t She Lovely is here for you. Weddings are joyful. And there’s nothing quite more joyful than this fantastic track. What’s best, is the instrumental version sounds amazing in both strings and jazz

4.

Arioso / J.S. Bach

If you want something more traditional but don’t want the classic Wedding March, take a listen to Bach’s Arioso. Familiar but not overplayed, this tender adagio easily elevates any wedding procession.

5.

At Last / Etta James

For all the timeless drama and romance you can handle, look to Etta James. At Last feels both classic and contemporary, making it a crowd pleaser for decades. And no wonder! The strings at the top of the track never fail to induce goosebumps.
