A Timeless New York City Wedding at The Bowery Hotel - Jamie & Robert

Some weddings stay with you long after the final song has ended. Jamie and Robert’s July 27th, 2019 wedding at The Bowery Hotel is absolutely one of those celebrations for us. Even years later, we still find ourselves coming back to the warmth, emotion, and intimacy of this incredible New York City wedding.

Beautifully coordinated by Laura Leonard of Lindsay Hamilton Events, every detail of the day felt thoughtful and intentional from beginning to end. The stunning imagery captured by Bobby Wagner of Robert Wagner Photography only adds to the lasting impression this wedding continues to leave on us.

The ceremony took place in the Bowery Hotel’s iconic Fireplace Room, one of the most romantic and intimate wedding spaces in Manhattan. For the music, our violin, acoustic guitar, and upright bass trio created a warm and elegant atmosphere that perfectly complemented the room’s candlelit charm and vintage New York aesthetic.

One of the most memorable moments from the day was Jamie’s processional. The couple requested a custom arrangement of “Looking for Shelter” by Good Old War, which we slowed down and orchestrated specifically for the trio. As Jamie walked down the aisle, the music continued to build emotionally until the exact moment Robert lifted her veil. It was one of those perfectly timed wedding moments that felt cinematic without ever losing its intimacy.

Following the ceremony, the officiant invited everyone not to miss the breaking of the glass. Robert stomped the glass, the room erupted into a joyful “Mazel Tov!,” and the newlyweds recessed back down the aisle to Signed, Sealed, Delivered I'm Yours by Stevie Wonder… an unforgettable transition from heartfelt ceremony to celebration.

Weddings like Jamie and Robert’s are such a reminder of how powerful live music can be in shaping emotional moments throughout the day. From custom ceremony arrangements to joyful recessional songs, every musical choice helped tell their story in a way that felt completely personal to them.

We still feel incredibly honored to have been part of such a beautiful New York City wedding celebration.
