On August 15, 2026, we were lucky to be part of Rebekah Philip and Jagath Jai Kumar's beautiful wedding celebration at The Crane Estate in Ipswich, Massachusetts. From the Italianate Garden at Castle Hill to the expansive lawn behind the Great House, the setting provided a stunning backdrop for a day filled with thoughtful details, beautiful music, and plenty of personality.
For the ceremony, our Classical Strings Trio, featuring violin, viola, and cello, provided the soundtrack as guests gathered in the Italianate Garden. One of our favorite details was the couple's choice of processional music. The wedding party made their way down the aisle to Concerning Hobbits by Howard Shore, a wonderfully recognizable and whimsical selection that brought a little cinematic magic to the ceremony.
For the recessional, the couple took a completely different direction, celebrating their newlywed moment with ABBA's Dancing Queen. It was a fun, unexpected choice and a perfect way to transition from the ceremony into the celebration.
Following the ceremony, guests moved to the lawn directly behind the Great House for cocktail hour. Our trio continued playing, blending upbeat pop favorites with classical selections to create an atmosphere that felt relaxed, lively, and fitting for the beautiful surroundings.
One of the things we love most about performing at weddings is seeing how couples incorporate their personalities into the music. Whether it's a cinematic processional, an unexpected recessional, or a mix of modern pop and classical favorites during cocktail hour, those musical choices help make each celebration feel entirely their own.
We were also fortunate to work alongside an incredible team of wedding professionals who helped bring Rebekah and Jagath's celebration to life. The Crane Estate is one of those remarkable New England wedding venues where the architecture, gardens, and natural surroundings create an unforgettable setting for a wedding.
