May 16, 2026 | The Newbury Boston

We had such an incredible time being part of Matt and Cam’s wedding at The Newbury Boston. From the ceremony through the final song, this was one of those celebrations where every part of the evening had its own energy, and we loved being there to help bring it all together.

We started the evening in The Newbury’s beautiful Garden Room with our Pop Cello Trio, featuring cello, acoustic guitar, and upright bass. The trio created an intimate, relaxed atmosphere as guests arrived, with a mix of unexpected and familiar songs including Free Fallin’ by Tom Petty, You Are the Best Thing by Ray LaMontagne, and Here Comes the Sun by The Beatles.

For the recessional, Matt and Cam chose Feel So Close by Calvin Harris, giving the ceremony a fun, modern finish and setting the tone for the celebration ahead.

From there, we moved into the Assembly Foyer for cocktail hour before taking things up a notch in the ballroom.

DJ Hybrid + Jazz Trio

For the reception, Matt and Cam brought in our DJ Hybrid, pairing a DJ with live saxophone and drums. It is one of our favorite combinations because it brings the flexibility and variety of a DJ together with the energy and spontaneity of live musicians.

During dinner, we also had a Jazz Trio featuring saxophone, keys, and upright bass, creating a completely different musical atmosphere while guests enjoyed their meal.

And then it was time to party.

This was a crowd that really loved to dance, which always makes our night a whole lot easier. There is nothing better for a band and DJ than a room full of people who are already ready to get on the dance floor. From the moment the music shifted into party mode, the energy was there, and the dance floor stayed alive.

For us, that is what makes a great wedding so much fun: building the right musical experience for every part of the day, then watching the room come alive when it is time to celebrate.

A huge shout out to all of the vendors that helped make this day possible:
