Our Top 5 New England Wedding Venues

Our Top 5 New England Wedding Venues

New England is one of those unique regions of the country that truly offers something for everyone when it comes to venues. While the states are small, you can find everything from modern to historic, rustic to chic, and mountainous to coastal. Here are just five of our favorite New England venues accompanied by our thoughts on our favorite ensembles for each one.

Wychmere Beach Club – Cape Cod Wedding Venue with Ocean Views

We can’t write a New England venue blog without a shout out to Cape Cod. Located in Harwich Port, MA, Wychmere Beach Club actually offers four different buildings so guests can have a taste of everything that makes the Cape special. For music, we’ve done everything there from String Trios right on the private beach to DJ Hybrid duos poolside. The upper decks are perfect for cocktail hours with some jazz mixed in and the spacious banquet halls inside offer floor-to-ceiling windows and gorgeous hardwood floors that beautifully complement both acoustic strings and electric bands. Here are some shots of our acoustic pop strings playing at John and Jeanne’s cocktail hour on the back lawn. Photos by Meredith Jane Photography.

Willowdale Estate – Fairytale Wedding Venue in Topsfield, MA

For couples looking for a woodland retreat without trekking to the Berkshires, Willowdale Estate in Topsfield near Boston’s north shore is truly a storybook setting for a wedding. The outdoor facades are composed of gorgeous stone and ivy with the back courtyard making the perfect enclosed space for intimate ceremonies. This is a venue where the sunset hits just right every time, including for Preeya and Alex’s Fall wedding. For this our Pop Strings Ensemble started outside for the ceremony then moved inside to keep the tunes going through cocktail hour. The interior is filled with stunning woodwork and design that make acoustic strings feel warm and right at home. Photos courtesy of Amy Spirito Photography.

Boston Public Library – Elegant City Wedding Venue in Boston

There is so much history to explore in Boston and what better way to do that than in the heart of it all at the Boston Public Library. Before you start envisioning only bookshelves, check out some of these photos from the incredible Courtyard. The perfect location for our Classical Quartet or our Pop Strings Duo. The BPL has so many options to offer for ceremonies, cocktail hours, and corporate events, making it one of our favorite spots to experience sublime serenity right in Boston’s Back Bay.

The Crane Estate – Iconic Seaside Wedding Venue with Live Band Energy

Looking for a coastal celebration in Massachusetts without fighting Cape Cod traffic? The Crane Estate in Ipswich, MA features a sprawling view of the sea from its rear lawn and has been the perfect backdrop for many ceremonies we’ve performed. The east-facing patio is perfect for jazz combos vibing through cocktail hour. And that’s just the exterior. We’ve also performed New Orleans style entrances where our brass players led the guests from the reception tent into the estate, where exquisite ballrooms and halls set the perfect stage for DJ hybrid and the SpeechLess Party Band. Check out our band keeping the dance party going late into the night at Nicholas and Caitlin’s wedding and you’ll see why you don’t want to sleep on the North Shore.

Rosecliff Mansion – Luxury Wedding Venue in Newport, RI

For those seeking absolute luxury and Gilded Age glamor, Rosecliff Mansion in Newport is your destination. The ornate ballroom, carpeted staircase, and ocean view are one-of-a-kind and the ideal setting if you want your event to feel right out of Bridgerton or the Great Gatsby. And just like a Gatsby party, we often find ourselves at Rosecliff kicking off the evening with Classical or Pop Strings, then uncorking our Party Band for an all-night bash. The main ballroom is so spacious we’ve seen it host a ceremony, dinner, and dance floor with a DJ hybrid group without rearranging anything. Rosecliff is a favorite of ours for a taste of the finer things in life.

Why Live Music Matters for the Venue

Part of this answer is aesthetic. There’s something about a Classical String Quartet on the beach that creates that perfect image for a ceremony or vow renewal, just like a Jazz Trio with a skyline backdrop immediately sets a classy tone for a corporate gala. But the real difference comes with experienced musicians reading the room and the energy of your guests, creating the perfect playlist and responding to the atmosphere in a way that, like these venues, is unforgettable.
