Well it’s February folks, and that only means that one type of song is on our minds: the first dance song. Some people have this song in their heads from the moment they meet. Some couples come up with the week before the wedding. Don’t be intimidated though! We’ve got you covered with some of our tried and true classics.

Oh of course we start the list with “Can’t Help Falling in Love”. Not only is this a tear jerker, but it’s easy to dance to as well. The slow, steady tempo means it’s perfect for anyone who’d like a fully choreographed dance or an improvised waltz. Just be sure to work out the cue with your band or DJ.

All Of Me - John Legend

Lost for words on your wedding day? John Legend has the pipes and lyrics to help you through. Maybe you’re not the sentimental type, but once this song comes on and you realize that yes, this is your first dance with the person you chose to spend the rest of your life with, you’ll get into the groove. Love is a little crazy, isn’t it? The first line, “I can hear your heartbeat from a thousand miles” may sound hyperbolic out of context, but we all know this rings true to anyone madly, head over heels, crazy in love.

All denominations set aside, is Ed Sheeran not a blessing to the wedding industry? He has plenty of sweet tunes to play at your wedding (Perfect, narrowly made our list if it wasn’t already so incredibly popular) but there’s something about Thinking Out Loud that falls on the edge of overly saccharine.
